How to date your OVATION ?

Model Number: Model: Years Made: Made In: Strings: Format: Cutaway: Bowl: Style: Frets to Body: Headstock: Output: Comments: 385T: Pinnacle: 1992-1993: USA: Steel: 12. Ovation Guitars Look Up By Serial Number It is surprising because these guitars were so popular with musicians from the 1960's to the 1980's. There you have a piece of the history of guitars, the Ovation guitars history, that have truly had their place in the history of acoustic guitar music. The serial number will be a set of numbers and letters separated by dashes. It is typically found inside the body underneath the strings. But sometimes they put it on the back of the neck. For some Ovation guitars, only the first few numbers of the serial will tell you the date. Beautiful Sunburst& Inlays Ovation Elite Series Model 1768 Up for Auction is this Ovation Elite Model 1768. Serial Number 406808. Made in 1990, and assembled in America. Offering this guitar with a newer(not new) Ovation Hard Shell Deep Bowl Case as well. This guitar is the same sound and Action that my Adamas has, Awesome and easy action.

(sorry for ze frenchmen, this fichier is complètement en rosbif) (ici by spéciale courtoisie of Bernard Rey (Bernard King), who had recuperated it ailleurs (God knows where) and that I just modified a little, but don't ask me for a translation par exemple... am I clair ? it is déjà pretty that I permit you to find this on the web, because Ovation has enleved it quelques temps ago.

New necks, preamps, body sizes, shapes could be tested in the hands of active pro musicians and Ovation fans. Some guitars became Holy Grails for the avid Ovation collector, such as the 1987-7 and the 2008-5, but all of them are hi-quality, efficient and good looking instruments.
